Giguere, Jean-Sebastien

Jean-Sebastien Giguere

Giguere went through another full practice without any complications but stopped short of saying that he was ready for tonight's game against the Wild, reports the LA Times. He said he wants to play but at this point of the season, erring on the side of caution may be the smart thing to do. Either way, it appears as if he will be good to go for next week so get ready to activate him in all leagues as he will take over starting duties almost immediately.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere

Giguere, recovering from hernia surgery, practiced again on Monday and is set to return to the Ducks lineup, reports the LA Times. It is not yet clear whether he will be activated for Wednesday's game against the Bruins, but chances are high that he will be back in net by the weekend and will takeover starting duties for good soon thereafter. Ilya Bryzgalov and Jonas Hiller will both pretty much be rendered useless at that point.

Giguere continues to practice with the team but a return by next week is currently a best case scenario, reports the LA Times. He's been ruled out of today's game against the Blue Jackets and is hoping to be available for Wednesday's home opener against the Bruins but the newspaper claims that it's a "long shot" to happen at the moment. When Giguere does return to action, he'll immediately reclaim the starter's role from Ilya Bryzgalov and thus remains a top-10 goalie in fantasy leagues.

Giguere will not play in either of the two games in England, reports the LA Times. He is still recovering from hernia surgery but is skating with the team. Ilya Bryzgalov will likely start both games overseas for the Ducks so adjust your lineups accordingly.
