Vancouver Canucks

Lukas Krajicek

The young defensemen returned from his fractured foot injury tonight. The former 1st rounder had 5 pts in 9 games before the layoff, and is a viable option... especially in larger leagues that require 4 or more D-men. The 24-year-old should continue to produce as he will have plenty of ice time with Salo and Bieksa still on the shelf. Keep an eye on this kid. He could sneak up on 40 points this year.

Ryan Kesler

Could this be a 4th season breakout? Last night, Kesler potted 2 goals (one empty net) and now has points in his last 3 games. He has 6 points in 8 games, and accomplished that while getting a Boulerice cross-check to the face earlier this season. Now, we are not talking about an 80-point breakout here, but 50 points is possible. Ryan is still only 23, and he's receiving big minutes. In deeper leagues, you may want to take a chance on the former first-rounder.
