Colorado Avalanche

Milan Hejduk

Colorado went off tonight. Milan Hejduk was at the forefront of the onslaught. Hejduk had three goals and three assists for a career-high six points in the 9-5 Avalanche win against the St. Louis Blues. Colorado scored five goals in the second period alone. Paul Stastny also contributed five points as Colorado avenged their 4-1 loss to the Blues back on October 12th. Even the sleeper to slumper Jaroslav Hlinka had a point. Now THAT is saying something.

Jose Theodore

Theodore stopped 23 of 24 to post his fourth victory of the season - with three of them coming against the Flames, reports the AP. Peter Budaj continues to play average at best but Theodore is coming on strong and has forced some sort of rotation at the very least. If the former Hart trophy winner is still lingering around on some free agent or waivers lists in fantasy leagues, it's time to pick him up and see how the starts shape up in Colorado.

Paul Stastny

Stastny record a goal and four assists on Sunday to help power the Avalanche to a 6-2 victory over the Sharks. The five points given Stastny an NHL leading eight points over the first three games. The second year pro enjoyed a fabulous rookie season in which he really turned it on over the final quarter and it's obvious that he's started exactly where he left off. Stastny is one of the league's brightest young stars and with the talent around him in Colorado, he has a very real possibility of topping 100 points.
