Johnson will miss 2-4 weeks with sprained knee ligaments, reports the Washington Post. The Capitals will promote a goalie from their minor league affiliate team later today but whoever it is will have almost zero fantasy value even with Johnson sidelined. Olaf Kolzig figures to carry the entire load in net for the next few weeks.

Johnson sparkled during the preseason and is apparently feeling the best he's ever felt during his career, reports the Washington Post. He re-dedicated himself over the summer and has undergone a lifestyle change both of which contributed to a sparkling preseason. After appearing in 30 games last year, the plan for this season is to slightly increase that workload as 17 sets of back-to-back games are scheduled and #1 goalie Olaf Kolzig is now 37 years old. Despite that, we still don't think Johnson has much value in fantasy leagues.
