Brodeur is my pick for most overrated too. Brimsek, Crozier, Durnan, Esposito, Giacomin, Hall, Parent, Plante, Rayner and Sawchuk are some pretty big skates to fill if you want to talk greatest of all time (note that I didn't include the similarly overrated Cheevers, Dryden and Tretiak!)
Even in his own era, Belfour, Cujo, Fuhr, Hasek, and Roy were all better than Brodeur.
There is no denying that Brodeur is a terrific goalie, solid and consistent, and most teams would love to have him ... but would Buffalo have swapped Hasek for him back when The Dominator was hitting the .930 SV% mark consistently? No way. And if Marty had played his entire career in Toronto, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
