Straka, who broke a finger on his right hand blocking a Zdeno Chara shot from the point in Boston on Saturday, will be out an estimated four to five weeks, according to coach Tom Renney, reports the New York Newsday. Straka saw the doctor yesterday and it was decided that surgery won't be necessary.

Can't Predict this..
Goalies are a fickle sort. It is way too early to tell if Ellis will play his way into the starting position. Two good games means nothing when it comes to goalies. Now, if Ellis wins 7 of 10, convincingly, then I could see him earning the number one spot. That is, until he hits a slump. I mean, even the best and most experienced goalies in the league are struggling right now.
