with a capital i none the less apparently

first of all, it's funny how you say you don't care what team i'm a fan of, then go on to insult me as if i'm a flames fan. i do like the flames (i also like the canucks) but i'm not from calgary if that's what you're implying. i also love all the maturity with the name calling in these comments. can anyone around here defend luongo without sounding like they're 13 years old in the process?

a gamebreaking goalie is a goalie that can steal a game from the opponent team. one thing that i want to make clear is i'm not bringing luongo up because of his team's slow start this year. i've been watching luongo since the beginning of his career and have rarely seen this quality in him. meanwhile i've seen kipper do this numerous times. you point out the flames team that went to the cup VS the canucks team from last year... you do realize that the canucks team was probably the better team overall right? they had more depth, that's for sure, which is crucial in the post season. i don't want to take anything away from iginla who's a great player, but let's be honest, without kiprusoff there's no chance that team would have made it to the cup. so i don't really see how you can argue that luongo would have won a cup for the flames, when in fact he had a better team in front of him in the playoffs last year and didn't make it out of the west. make no mistake he played extremely well in the playoffs last year but as the old saying goes, "close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades."

feel free to come back and call me a Moron or perhaps a Simpleton but i just don't see an elite goalie when i watch luongo in net.
