i think fernandez is a case of a bad start plus a very underrated backup behind him in thomas. i don't think fernandez was made by the defensive system he played in front of for the wild. fernandez is a very good goalie, the question is really if he's durable enough to be a number one or not. i think he'll get out of this funk and look very good again before the end of the season. whether or not he can become the definite #1 goalie again, i'm not so sure of.

MAF you have a good point on, people jumped on his ship too soon simply because they wanted to like the pens. i still need to see more of his play to say one way or another on him. but i've seen a lot of luongo and a lot of manny. i think roberto is overrated and has been for some time, while i think manny should have been the starter over roloson and still has a lot left to give in the nhl.
